Join the Collective
Teach What You Love. Move on Your Terms.
Collective Movement isn’t your typical studio. We're a collaborative space where instructors are independent creators, free to design and teach classes that reflect their passions, skills, and style.
Whether you're a seasoned professional or launching your first series, we offer the space, visibility, and support — without the micromanagement.

Frequently Asked Questions
Am I an employee of the studio?
No — all instructors at Collective Movement are independent contractors (1099). You manage your own curriculum, schedule, and marketing. We simply provide the space, systems, and support.
Does the studio provide insurance coverage?
The studio carries insurance on the building and facilities, but we strongly recommend all instructors carry their own professional liability insurance, especially for movement-based classes.
Are certifications required to teach?
For pole and aerial classes, yes — a valid certification is required to ensure student safety and alignment with industry standards. Other formats do not currently require certification, but training and experience are encouraged.
How do I get paid for my classes?
You can choose from two earning models:
Attendance-based pay: We handle payments and you’re paid based on how many students attend.
Flat-fee rental: You set your own pricing, and pay a flat rate to the studio to use the space.
Do students need to pay separately for my class?
Not necessarily. Students can use their class packs or memberships to attend your class. If you're offering a specialty class or series, you can also price it as a standalone offering.
Do I need to manage payments and registration myself?
No — we’ve got you covered. All bookings, payments, and student check-ins are handled through our CRM system. You’ll have full access to view your class list and connect with your students.
What happens if I need to cancel a class?
You’re responsible for finding a substitute or canceling your class directly. If your class is part of the attendance-based pay model, you must have at least 3 students enrolled in order to be paid.
1–2 students: Cancellation is recommended, but you may still choose to hold class without pay.
If a class has fewer than 3 students for three consecutive weeks, it will be re-evaluated for improvement or the time slot may be opened to other instructors.
Can I use the studio to practice or film content?
Yes! Instructors can reserve solo studio time for practice or recording, at no extra cost. Just book at least 24 hours in advance, and please note that others are not allowed to join you during that time.
